My name is Katie and I'm currently a student at Penn State, set to get my Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree this May from Penn State University. This blog is my attempt to keep myself motivated and thinking creatively, as well as a way to start getting my name and artwork out onto the world of the internet in a preemptive attempt at kickstarting my career. At the moment, my future plans consist of applying to Academy of Art University in San Francisco and pursuing my Master's of Fine Arts in Animation. This fall semester I'm carrying a courseload with a heavy focus on new media art with a dash of traditional figure drawing thrown in, as well as having the pressure of my professors' expectations for me as a BFA on my shoulders. Stay tuned as I try to pull it off!
Outside of academia, I'm also a member of the Penn State Equestrian Team, active in PSU's student run philanthropy (the Penn State Dance MaraTHON), and a graphic designer at the Daily Collegian. In between all of that, I try to take it easy, have fun, and keep a smile on my face. :)
